It has subsequently received over 175 productions in 24 different countries and has been translated into 16 languages.  Awards include, Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Show, Scotsman Fringe First Award, British Council Recommendation, Off-West End Theatre Award for Best Production, The Smith Prize and NNPN Rolling World Premiere.

Grounded is a work of extraordinary psychological intensity.  It is the story of a female ace fighter pilot, who, after interrupting her career to have a child, has been removed from flight duty and reassigned to operating drone missions in hostile territory.  Against this background of removal from flying an actual aircraft – a job she loved – the protagonist must now operate military drones from a windowless trailer in the desert outside Las Vegas, Nevada – Creech Air Force Base

She hunts terrorists by day in this environment, and returns to her family each night.  As the pressure to track and kill a high-profile target mounts, this Remotely Piloted Aircraft becomes the grim reaper of her mind.  The pilot’s world of home and war begin to collide in an explosion of the mind.
