In Character Productions, LLC (ICP) is a new professional theatre production company located in Annapolis, Maryland, and Joan Smith is the founding principal of ICP.  In 2007, Joan moved to Maryland to pursue a degree in Master of Arts in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College. 

Joan is a professional actor from Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Florida State University, and a graduate of the Alliance Theatre Professional Acting Internship Program.  She also holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College and a Theological Studies Certificate from University of the South.

ICP’s first production will be the one-woman show written by George Brant, Grounded. ICP is proud to partner with Touchstones^®Discussion Project, an education non-profit organization whose mission is to develop critical thinkers and collaborative leaders for a more inclusive world, in order to provide a professional discussion program after selected performances of Grounded.

Discussions will include both active duty and retired military personnel who are familiar with the subject matter.
